I've been coming here since it opened. The quality has improved steadily and it's now our favourite sushi restaurant. The prices are very good, the food is delicious and the service is always fast and friendly. What more could you ask for?

Always friendly staff, great fresh rolls, quick service, and reasonably priced. I go in for lunch often and have always had a great experience.

There are a lot of sushi options in this end of town, but this is my favourite.

I love this restaurant. My favourite sushi place in Winnipeg. Very reasonable prices. Delicious food.

Rolls were not put together properly and fell apart. 10 minutes after we started eating we noticed black dots on the avocado.

I feel betrayed by all the 5 star reviews. We typically go to a different sushi restaurant but since the reviews were so good, I thought we'd give it a shot. This place is overrated big time.We usually try to get some sort of combo for a family of 5 when we go out for sushi. We ended deciding on the medium combo which should feed 3-4 people, according to the menu. The menu doesn't list what's in combos so you have to ask - perhaps it changes seasonally or something. I posted a picture of what you get for 50 bucks. We didn't end up eating all of it, not because we were full, we just weren't the biggest fans. A lot of saucey deep fried rolls with generous amount of rice. For service, I would have had more drinks, but our server never really came by. Ended up spending over 100 for the medium combo, 4 nigiri, 2 drinks, 4 miso soups and 2 orders of spring rolls. We gave it a shot but I don't think we will be back, we'll stick to our favorite it think.

The quality versus the price, not worth it don't go! All the seaweed and all the dishes was overly fishy which means old since when dish back paid for another that wasn't eaten! I'm not sure why sushi restaurants are allowed to put crab on their ingredients when they're using fake crab pollock fish stick! We ordered the teriyaki salmon with vegetables, that came with bean sprouts one paper thin slice of green pepper 1 paper thin slice of carrot. That's not vegetables to me! We ordered two of the green salads for $4.95 each. Again it was 95% iceberg lettuce. For the same price I could have gone to Yujiro on Grant, which is the best sushi in Winnipeg and in my opinion one of the best in the country, he is a Gold Medal winner!

Food is great and prices aren't overpriced

High-end restaurant prices for foodcourt quality food. Special rolls aren’t much different from the regular rolls in either quantity or taste. Sashimi pieces are also very small.Stick to regular rolls if in a pinch, otherwise keep looking for another restaurant if you want true sushi.

Visually interesting and flavorful sushi

Best sushi in St James. I’ve always had great experiences & it’s been my go-to sushi place for years. 10/10 recommend. My fav rolls are their spicy shrimp roll & bakudan roll. MMM!

This is one of, if not my favourite sushi restaurant in the city. Their Sweet Dream (seasonal) roll is my all time favourite sushi roll, I've never had a bad experience or poor order. 11/10 whether you dine in or order delivery/take out. Anyone who likes sushi should try this place at least once. :D

There is very little choice on the menu, compared to the many great places in Winnipeg. It was lacking vatiety and flavour. Price was good and service was adequate. I probably would not go back.

It's dam good with a fair price, you well see nice waitresses in a clean and classy asian atmosphere with art to boot, but you need to know your sushi cause the menu has no pics and a lot of options so pic the ones that sounds good to you if you are a first timer,The wait time is also fast, unlike some restaurants that you swear the cooks are just sitting on the grill trying to figure out where the smell is coming from (cough cough PERKINS cough)

Best sushi in Winnipeg in my opinion. Chefs have been there for over 12 years. Always fresh and staff is very accommodating.

Good sushi but the fish was not fresh at all. If you are looking for a solid sushi place that will consistently deliver this is not the one.

Ordered from Skipthedishes, was really excited because it had good reviews but once it came, everything was all over the place and broken into pieces. It maybe because of the driver but nonetheless the food looked unappealing. But thats not where it ends, few hours later my stomach started feeling funny so I head into the bathroom. I started throwing up everything, I felt so sick. Maybe I ordered at a bad time, but man I for sure know I wont be having sushi for awhile after this experience.

Good prices, fast service. Alaska roll is one of our favourites. I like the Yakisoba as well.

Food was great but customer service was poor. Someone beside us sat at their table 10 minutes after we got their we marked our food on the paper and waited for the server to take our order and to the table besides us order before us will we still waiting then finally I stood up and said hay we got here first? Then the table next to us got their shrimp tempura before us and they got their roles before us. Mean will my wife and 3 month old baby await for our food. Finally 45 min into our wait we got our food. At this point after I was done I didn't wait for the check at the table I payed right away and left because what restaurant you go too when the server doesn't ask you how was the food or did you need any more drinks or Food? What a waist of time.

Don't go to this restaurant if you're hungry. We waited 15 minutes after ordering and the waitress didn't even bother to pass the order to the kitchen for a miso soup and salad. Waitress had no awareness of the clients' order time. Take-out service seems to be a better deal.

Service was great, and atmosphere was quiet and calming. The sushi selection isn't large but they have quite a few good ones and those are very well made for their price! Spring rolls and miso soup were also excellent. Favorite place to get sushi!
